Training and Development Officer, Part-time
18.5 hours per week.
PO3 range £25,437 pro rata
The Association of African Affairs is a registered charity and company. The area
of work of the Association includes supporting needy Africans, especially those
who are refugees and asylum seekers, living in Leeds and the surrounding area.
As part of this initiative the Association will be providing First Stop English
and Computer Training to the asylum seekers and refugees.
The Association is looking to appoint a highly dynamic and innovative Training
and Development Officer to take charge of its training programme. The post will
be available for a twelve months period in the first instance.
Educated to a degree level, the right candidate must have a successful track
record in managing projects related to training and development schemes, with
proven ability in fund raising, planning, strategizing, setting up, monitoring,
reviewing and evaluating projects. The post holder is also expected to have
basic knowledge of designing and updating a website.
Although the position being offered is part-time, the Association would expect
the post holder to put in a lot of extra hours into the job to support with the
capacity building process of the organization.
